like he has done every year? whilst anything can happen in Rg, it makes u seem pathetic to try and convince yourself federer goal isnt’t to win the tournement he’s playing in, especially the prestigious rome. I bet you told yourself that everytime federer got to the final in monte carlo and rome and tried his best for hours that “it wan’t his goal” to win that bt Rg, and when RG came the same thing happened, tried and lost. Players try their best in these for confindence and to try 2beat rival

you can’t stop the ageging porcess. The reason why even sampras lasted longer was becuase he could adapt his game. federer seems too stubborn to do that.

I thought Federer …
I thought Federer improved his play tremendously since Miami. I do think he is just starting to run out of gas. I do not know if it the back injury that he was complaining about or what, he just isn’t lasting too long in these matches. I do not think it will get any better for him at the French Open. If he can’[t not do it at these tournaments he will not be able to turn it on at the FO.

I can’t think of any particular reason !!! May be he lost his willingness to win and to challenge other players… I’ve literally never been this disappointed !

federers lateral …
federers lateral movement has slowed. he needs to change his game. when he plays on fast courts he must attack more with his serve and chip and charge.sampras had to change his game too. sampras improved more on his second serve serve and volley both serves chip and charge attack more. but every one knows federer he’s stuborn won’t change nothing doesn’t even have a coach.

What u fed fans seem to forget is that when he dominated who was his competition? Roddick, Hewitt, blake all players who is has a dominant h2h only safin gave him a challenge now he has REAL players against and he is struggling BIG TIME!!

It’s Ok that Fed lost because he was gonna lose to Nadal anyway. What’s good for Djokovic, he lost to Nadal anyway. Fed’s goal is Roland Garros not Rome, so I believe that Fed will invest all his energy into RG

i agree with statments..regarding watching fed has begun to be frustrating.he’s such a phenom player..yet,im on the course,that its become more mental not technique for him.investing in a coach at the stage of the game..would be a asset for him,he’s too talented and too much of a champion..not to invest in it.

it’s amazing to see …
it’s amazing to see such a champion like federer who dominated so easily for years, all of a sudden finding it hard to win titles and starting to get dominated by certain players… it must be a shock to him that even though people used to call him the greatest, to find out at the end that he is NOT the greatest. Sampras always found a way to beat even his biggest rivals!

Federer set the bar …
Federer set the bar so high for himself for 41/2 yrs. So semifinals or even finals is not good for his standards. Any other player would be extremely satisfied with rogers results so far. Sometimes i just dont know how he completely looses focus, its so frustrating watching him as a fan. Sometimes u feel like smashing the tv when watching him play and make silly mistakes.
