Rome - Trevi Fountain

The Trevi fountain is part of the Aqua Virgo an aqueduct constructed in the first century BC. It brings water from a spring 20 km away and supplies many other fountains in historic Rome with water. The fountain was begun in 1732 and completed 30 years later. It’s central figure is Neptune God of the Sea.

The 65 Sq.Metres (700 Sq.Ft.) apartment sleeps 5 and it is ideal for those looking for a prestigious accommodation in an historical mansion in the heart of the historical centre of Rome. It includes a large living-room with a double sofa bed, a single sofa bed and large sofa, TV, large fully equipped kitchenette with dish washer. The bedroom with large double bed has a perfectly working fireplace. Last but not least this apartment has also a large bathroom with bathtub and separate shower, a walk-in-closet and a small balcony. The wood beam ceiling 2 meters high from the floor, makes the environment warm and comfortable.
This apartment is very comfortable and fully equipped with air conditioning, central heating, washing machine and a mix of typical ancient roman and fine hand made furniture.
Located in the historical centre, the apartment is also well connected to the city airports (Fiumicino and Ciampino) and to the main train stations in Rome. With a few steps you can cross the river and get to Campo de Fiori and Piazza Navona, in the heart of the historical centre of the Eternal City. Flatinrome 8 is in the perfect location for visiting the Eternal City by walk. The historical centre of Rome is in fact quite small: its a circle of less than 3 kilometres (less than 2 miles) in diameter that includes (from North clockwise): Termini Station, Coliseum, Trastevere and Vatican. All the major attractions are in between. From Flatinrome 8 you can walk to the main sites : Coliseum, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Navona Square, Pantheon, Campo de’ Fiori, etc.
The apartment is also well connected to the city airports (Fiumicino and Ciampino) and to the main train stations in Rome.

From DOWNTOWN (10 minutes): go to the Lungotevere (bank) on S. Peter/Castel S. Angelo side. Continue on to the corner of Viale Trastevere/Garibaldi bridge, turn right on Viale Trastevere and go ahead for 300 metres. At the 4th traffic light turn right on Via Morosini and go ahead on Via Mameli. ATTENTION ! Via Mameli is closed to public traffic from 6.30am to 10.00am from Monday to Saturday and from 11pm to 3am on Friday and Saturday. At the end of Via Mameli, turn right on Via Garibaldi up to the end. Once there, take your luggage (but, attention, impossible to park there !) and walk on Via della Scala (on your right) for 50 metres; you will come across Piazza della Scala, where Flatinrome 8 is located.
From FIRENZE (A1) (50 minutes from the Roma Nord tollgate): Take the exit in the direction Fiano - Roma Centro - GRA (Grande Raccordo Anulare) and go for 21 Km. At the junction with GRA (Grande Raccordo Anulare) take the direction FIUMICINO (A12)/ CIVITAVECCHIA/ (E80) and go for 27 Km. Take the lane that leads to exits 30-31-32-33 Aeroporto L. da Vinci, then take exit 30 (Highway Roma-Fiumicino in the direction Roma Centro/EUR). Go for approx. 5,5 km and take the exit Roma Centro/via della Magliana/Trastevere. Take Via della Magliana up to the end (more than 3 km.), following the direction Roma Centro. When you get to Piazza Antonio Meucci, go around the gardens and take the road on the left (Via Oderisi da Gubbio). At the end of this road, once in Piazzale della Radio, turn left on Viale Guglielmo Marconi, go under the railroad and take Via Ettore Rolli. At the fourth traffic light turn left (Via Cesare Pascarella). At the intersection with Viale Trastevere turn right and go on up to the 7th traffic light, where you turn right on Via Induno. Take first left then, first left again and go ahead up to the traffic light. Cross Viale Trastevere, take Via Morosini and go ahead on Via Mameli. ATTENTION ! Via Mameli is closed to public traffic from 6.30am to 10.00am from Monday to Saturday and from 11pm to 3am on Friday and Saturday. At the end of Via Mameli, turn right on Via Garibaldi up to the end. Once there, take your luggage (but, attention, impossible to park there !) and walk on Via della Scala (on your right). for 50 metres; you will come across Piazza della Scala, where Flatinrome 8 is located.
